Ulcerative colitis a chronic, relapsing inflammatory disease of the large intestine characterized by inflammation and ulceration of the mucosal and, occasionally, submucosal intestinal layers.

UC is a serious disease that, in some cases, may cause life-threatening complications or be fatal.

The biological agents infliximab, adalimumab, golimumab, vedolizumab and ustekinumab as well as the small molecules tofacitinib, upadacitinib, filgotinib (European Union only) and ozanimod are indicated for the treatment of moderate to severe UC. Despite increasingly available therapies, current therapies for UC have limited efficacy and have a potential for significant safety events. Only 17% to 45% of patients who receive biologics are able to achieve clinical remission. In addition, anti-drug antibodies can lead to loss of response and increased hypersensitivity reactions. Thus, a large unmet need continues to exist for the treatment of UC.
We are conducting three clinical trials with different compounds. Contact us to learn more.

The study will be done based of the procedures in the protocol also depending at each visit some procedures might be different.

Patients can call office , request more info on our research website where we will then do a phone screen to prequalify subject for trial. That is when we will set patient up with an office appointment.
